Nurse Julie Magers helps to complete a hip replacement surgery on Scott Bechtol at Physician's Regional at Pine Ridge on Tuesday. Magers was assisting surgery with Dr. Jon Dounchis, an orthopedic surgeon, who used a robotic system, made by MAKO Surgical, that allows him to resurface the hip socket and then place a shell fitting of some nature so when the hip joint is put in, there is reduced likelihood of dislodging.
