First Baptist Academy's Billy Sparacio, 40, is the fall coach of the year. In only it's four year history, Sparacio has built up the football program to be a Class 2A state contender despite a little over 30 players on the team. High school football lead him to play running back at Colgate University. Since, he began his career at Lely High School as an assistant, and Head Coach at Barron Collier. Now, he is Athletic Director at the five year-old K-12 private school. This year he lead the team to a semi-final finish. Despite the sting of not making it further Sparacio said," Obviously having a great season is special, but what I've learned, is about the journey. It's not about that last game, it's about witnessing the kids go from this (pointing) to there (pointing again higher) as a team -- seeing them have that success is that important."
