Corey Perrine/Staff Photo Illustration Barron Collier's Aidan Brennan, 17, is the boys swimmer of the year. Brennan began at age 10 and quit at age 12 because "it just wasn't fun anymore." His freshman year he took a second run at it and has been competing since. The senior re-broke the district records in the 50 and 100 freestyle. He also placed 5th and 7th at state in those events. At 6 feet 1 inch he's committed to swim Division II at Lewis University where he'll study to become a commercial pilot. He hopes to get a shot at the 2016 Olympics in 2016 olympics Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. "Swimming has taught me to push my limits mentally and physically, Brennan said. "It's taught me to be focused and do better."
