Corey Perrine/Staff Photo Illustration Community School of Naples' Ryan Celano, 17, is the 2012 boys golf player of the year. Recently the junior drove and putted his way to a 7th place finish at the state tournament. He returns in 2013 hoping to capture a state crown. The youngest of four, his influence in golf began from his father competing in tournaments at age 8. One of his biggest achievements came in July, competing in the U.S. Junior Amateur at The Golf Club of New England in Stratham, N.H. "The biggest challenge in golf is keeping your composure. You can hit the perfect shot and it'll hit a sprinkler head or a putt hits the back of the cup," Celano said. "At times it's so frustrating -- but you have to be positive and not feel sorry for yourself."
