Jason Easterly/Special to the Daily News Everglades Area Tours captain Bruce Hitchcock prepares the kayaks for the paddle portion of the Boat Assisted Kayak Eco Tour on Friday morning in the Ten Thousand Islands. Twelve different ecotours leave Chokoloskee twice daily. The boat assisted tour combines riding, paddling and walking all while learning about nature and the surroundings.
