- Jeff Lamphere, of Chaska, Minn., films the sinking of the USS Mohawk into the Gulf of Mexico for his father, Harold Lamphere, who served on the U.S. Coast Guard ship and was unable to travel to the event because of health reasons on Monday, July 2, 2012. The decommissioned U.S. Coast Guard cutter was sunk roughly 30 miles off of Fort Myers Beach to serve as an artificial reef.
