Cpl. Jesse Todd waits to be called for his case by Collier Circuit Judge Michael Provost on Thursday at the Collier County Courthouse. Todd was found not guilty for failing to use due regard while operating an emergency vehicle after a collision March 31, 2011. Todd was driving in emergency mode, at a speed of more than 100 miles per hour, north on Santa Barbara Boulevard when Andrew Rakes pulled his vehicle out in front of Todd from the intersection at 22nd Place S.W. in East Naples. Rakes died of the injuries he sustained in the crash.
