Golden Gate Fire Capt. Rusty Godette, center, describes some of the training firefighters participated in on a donated home on Washburn Avenue throughout the week. The home, which was burned down after training finished Thursday, was donated by YAHL Mulching & Recycling. Godette said the training allowed firefighters from Golden Gate, North Naples, East Naples and Marco Island to have a better understanding of how fire works in different conditions, and also to see how they react during a real fire.
