The former World War II boat will be sunk off Fort Myers Beach to serve as an artificial reef. The boat was built in 1934 for the Coast Guard. The ship is 165 feet in length. The ship served in World War II and was involved in 14 attacks against Nazi Submarines on the Atlantic Ocean.
