Scott McIntyre/Staff Joe Bonness, of Naples, leads the pack of riders down Gulf Shore Blvd. on Wednesday morning. Bonness finished second in many races to Kevin Moats, an Atlanta man who competed against him in several Iron Man competitions. Earlier this month, Moats was accused of committed a doping violation. He has received a one-year period of ineligibility for the offense, effective January 30, 2012, and has been provisionally suspended from WTC competition since notice of the adverse finding. As a result, Bonness is now the winner in many contests.
