Artist, Lloyd Goradesky of Hollywood talks with a fan of Jeff Alldredge of Naples Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012 in Naples. Half of a 76-foot long alligator head made it's way from The Comfort Inn parking lot, where it made a media press appearance, across Alligator Alley on I-75. It's final destination was Biscayne Bay in Miami as part of a 230-foot full-bodied floating sculpture entitled "Gator in the Bay." Goradesky created the structure from landfill and recycled materials. The scales were made of shade cloth, epoxy and painted black. The teeth were discarded roofing material. The structure, discarded steel. The eyes will illuminate at night lit by light bulb. The project took three months and planning was a year.
