John Ballard bags cookies in his kitchen Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at his Emerson Square home in Fort Myers, Fla. The retired IBM employee has been baking 'as long as I can remember,' starting in Des Moines, Iowa decades ago from his mother. On this day, he was baking 220 sugar cookies for friends and family. 'I give out the recipe to my family and they say it doesn't come out like I make it,' Ballard said. 'They say I give it to them without an ingredient, they just can't make it like I do,' he said humbly with a smile.
