Edgerrin is arguably the best football player to emerge from Southwest Florida proving decorated careers at Immokalee High School, The University of Miami and Indianapolis Colts Hall of Fame. He is eligible for the National Football League's Hall of Fame in 2015. 'I'm just glad they picked me, it's just like everything else, you just go out and do whatever you're doing and be happy you've been acknowledged. Hopefully I represented what it means to be a football player and go out and play the position I played.' Edgerrin said. About his upcoming kids who also play football and other sports, 'I tell them do everything the right way there is no shortcuts, there's no handoutsâwork real hard and the results will show. Hard work is hard to hide.'
