A lone kayaker makes his way past the closed Lowdermilk Beach which is surrounded by orange fence to keep pedestrians away while earth moving equipment spreads freshly mined sand over the beach. The Naples area beach renourishment project continues with the final sand hauls being delivered on Tuesday, December 10, 2013.  The project is expected to wrap up earlier than anticipated and according to Naples Mayor John Sorey, it will provide a $10 million economic impact in the county.
