As Pope Benedict XVI leaves his post, Ave Maria is honoring him with several events. The idea to donate lunches was guided by Pope Benedict XVI's first encyclical where he explained the importance of service to others. The students delivered 530 bags of lunch to the Friendship House and Guadalupe Center in Immokalee.
