Senior portrait of Immokalee High School Senior, Michael Perez, 17. Around 5:10 a.m. on Monday, 22-year-old Beatriz Martinez was driving a 2010 Dodge Charger west on Westclox Street ahead Perez, who was driving a 2004 Hyundai Elantra, the Florida Highway Patrol reported. As Perez overtook Martinez, the right side of his Hyundai struck the rear of her Dodge, causing both vehicles to spin out. The Hyundai overturned twice, struck a utility pole and electric box with the driver's side, and then crashed into a mobile home. Perez, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected. The Dodge struck a shoulder, overturned, and struck a barbed wire fence. Martinez and her passenger, 17-year-old Amanda Alvarado, were also ejected. Neither was wearing a seat belt. Alvarado was killed and Martinez is in serious condition. Lexey Swall/Staff
