FWC released a female Florida panther that had been rescued as a kitten in 2011. Biologists from FWC's Fish and Wildlife Research Institute (FWRI) released her on 1-31-13 at the Picayune Strand State Forest in Collier County.  The panther promptly became pregnant and now has a single cub to care for.
