FGCU's Guard Julian DeBose is seen in portrait Nov. 1, 2013 at Alico Arena in Estero. The 6-foot 4-inch Washington D.C. native transferred from Rice University in Houston, Texas this year and will be eligible to play for two years beginning next season. On his right shoulder he is adorned with a tattoo of God's hands handing a basketball shaped world to DeBose. 'I see basketball as a vehicle in life,' he said. On his right tricep are wings which represent faith. 'I wanted a set of wings, the wings of faith,' DeBose said. 'Because you take a leap of faith every day.' On his right pectoral is the phrase of today, YOLO. You only live once. 'Everyone gives me flack for that one because it's a faddish word.' DeBose said. 'But I tell them it's not for them, it's for me.'
