  • Jerry Gibson (left) listens as Andrew Guidry fields a question. Candidates were limited to two minute responses, with one-minute rebuttals allowed by any single candidate who raised his hand. In the round in which candidates could pose questions of one another, no rebuttals were allowed.

  • Residents file into the Marco Island Police Department building for Tuesday's debate. The forum drew a crowd of nearly 200 people, a somewhat smaller showing than the first debate, held Dec. 6 and sponsored by Preserve Our Paradise.
  • Candidates Butch Neylon and Frank Recker chat before Tuesday night's debate. Though some candidates have thrown barbs at their opponents in the last two debates, relations between the two camps have remained largely civil.
