Over the weekend Relay for Life had their annual walk, it took place at Gulfview Middle School on Friday the 18th and Saturday the 19th of April. It was a fabulous turnout! There were booths of every kind lined up along the track offering their services and wares for Donations to the Cancer foundation. One very Brave and caring little girl came to the Lorenzo Walker Institute of Technology (LWIT) Booth, where they were offering Mini manicures, Face Painting and Hair Braiding, and offered much more than a monetary Donation she offered her Hair....she had never had a haircut before , so it was long and beautiful. Her name is Nina Fracalossi she is 6 years old and attends St. Ann's School. She came up to the Booth very proud to offer this beautiful gift, Mrs. Noemi Rodriguez, the Cosmetology Teacher at LWIT did the honors of giving her her First haircut she sat there so cute and so proud with a big smile on her face the whole time...knowing she was giving more than just her hair....She gave her Heart. This beautiful little girl gave of herself to help someone else feel beautiful!
The goal of this year’s Relay for Life of Naples was to raise $720,000, but the focus during the 18-hour event wasn’t just on fundraising, it also was on remembering and celebrating those affected by cancer.
