  • Public Works employees look for the leak in a water main located in the median of Collier Boulevard near Yellowbird Thursday morning. The water main break was among the last of the flood's indirect damage to the city which needed to be repaired. City officials and residents cleaned up trash and debris left by the flood's aftermath and had the island nearly restored to pre-flood conditions by noon, Thursday.
  • Bald Eagle Towing towed as many as 40 vehicles to area auto repair shops due to mechanical failure caused by flooding. Owner Bud Gruber pulled his own tow truck out using another Bald Eagle Towing truck Wednesday.

Heavy rainfall Wednesday forced Marco Island officials to close portions of six roadways, including the Judge S.S. Jolley Bridge, due to high water levels.
