Dani Karaczun waves a sign at motrists passing by Wynn's Market, encouraging them to stop by the parking lot to have their cars washed on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 to benefit the family of slain Fy. Myers police Officer Andrew Widman. "It's an opportunity for everyone to pull together," said Bill Homer, a Wynn's Market employee who came up with the idea after seeing support for the family from both the Naples and Ft. Myers communities. Several Wynn's Market employees joined in to help the car wash, which started at 9 a.m. and was expected to last until 2 p.m. "As long as we have a steady stream of cars we'll keep washing," said Christina Dinschel, daughter of the store manager. "Anything to help out the family." The money will be taken to 5/3 Bank and deposited into an account that has been set up in honor of the family of Officer Windman, said Homer. Ed Matthews / Staff
