Since 1964 Kavchak was involved in a close and fruitful scholarly cooperation with psychiatrist Kazimierz Dabrowski. "My working together with Dabrowski resulted in the publication of numerous books and a large number of papers. The most important and fundamental, translated into French, Spanish, Polish, and Dutch is "Mental growth through positive disintegration,"" said Kavchak. In this book, the authors explain a paradoxical theory of human development, based on the premise that "good can follow from bad."
