Roseate spoonbill, left, and wood stork spotted a week before the BioBlitz at Collier's Reserve. The spoonbill is not often seen this far inland, said Pete Thayer, organizer of the 24-hour wildlife identification event. The bird's visit was taken as a good omen for the first BioBlitz.
