  • Known as the Buzzard's Queen for 18 years, the colorful Mary Martin entertains guests Phil Sheridan and Louise Faucher visiting Stan's from the City of Marco Island Sunday. Stan's was among the Goodland businesses which reopened in early October for the tourist season.

  • Collier County Commissioner Donna Fiala catches up with friends Bryan Hauser and Rondi Hauser at Stan's Idle Hour Restaurant in Goodland Sunday. Visitors say Stan's is a place where everyone from motorcycle riders to government officials can relax together.
  • Rich Acker visiting Marco Island from Cape Cod, Mass. enjoys meeting a new friend, a Springer spaniel named Gabby, 10. Capt. Lisa Oliver of Naples says she enjoys Stan's because it allows dogs, which are also welcome at other Goodland establishments now including the Old Marco Lodge.
  • Kay Lenart models Island Woman attire including silly sunglasses and an elegant dress while Brenda Cass, a City of Marco resident, takes an up and down look to see what Lenart is wearing. Lenart modeled several outfits from Island Woman, a clothing and novelty store next door to Stan's in Goodland. Tourist season kicked off again Sunday in the small fishing village.
