These citrus groves in Immokalee were once heavily infected with a disease called citrus green, carried by an insect introduced from Asia. Because of the research done by Bob Rouse and his team at the Southwest Florida Research & Education Center in Immokalee, they have found a formula that treats the trees three times a year killing off the disease.
