Olivia Davis' parents Bruce and Stephanie watch a big screen audio-visual presentation of their daughter's progress before and after brain surgery to rid the child of recurring seizures. It was one of many emotional interludes during the afternoon, some poignant and some punctuated by delight at the girl's remarkable progress since surgery about two weeks ago. About 100 people attended a Sunday function and walk at Mackle Park to raise funds to help the family with enormous surgery and ongoing rehabilitation costs associated with Olivia's recovery.

Recuperating after brain surgery that has left her left side predictably paralyzed, 10-year-old Olivia Davis attended a walk and cookout fund-raiser in her honor. Daunting medical costs associated with her surgery and rehabilitation prompted a group of friends to spearhead a fund-raising campaign.
