  • Members of the Marco Island Alumnae Club enjoyed a luncheon cruise aboard the Marco Island Princess on Friday. From left to right: Capt. Roger Parcelles, Ellie Fowles, Betty Bartels, Iris Horey, Pat Thoma, Ginny Gibson, Nancy Jarrett, Margaret Kane, Debbie Trafton, Shirley Jurek, Lynne Minozzi, Ellie Wahl, Kay Folsom, Ann Westerlind and Robin Shifflett. “I made arrangements for the ladies to enjoy a day out on the Princess,” Minozzi said. “A small group like this one enables us to get to know each other on a more personal level, rather than at our monthly luncheon where we have 70 women attending. It was a great day, the weather was perfect and we all had a good time. The crew of the Princess was so gracious and accommodating. The buffet was delicious. I am going to plan another group again.” The Alumnae Club is planning a tour of the Ringling Museum on Nov. 8 in Sarasota To join them, or for more information about the Alumnae Club, call Lynne Minozzi at 642-3836.

Marco Island Princess to go on summer vacation from June 28, 2009 through early November to avoid fiscal pain of struggling economy. Photos of the Princess, which will take its first break since embarking on Marco waters in 2002.
