A future Lely starter, freshman Kesly Joseph goes through the rope drill then caught a pass from freshman Jared Jackson. There were 77 Trojans out on the first day of practice on Monday that will end up being on the varsity, junior varsity or freshman teams.
The Lely football team will be young this year, but the players think they have potential. Senior corner back Makinton Dorelant, who has verbally agreed to play at Wisconsin next fall, said, “Teams shouldn’t underestimate us. We are young, but we have speed and if the underclassmen stay focused we could surprise.”
