  • I used a Canon D20 digital SLR with a 300 mm lens on a tripod. The weather here in Florida was absolutely clear with a bit of dew that I had to clear off the lens a few times while taking the pictures. The temperature was in the low 50s and I was out from about 1:15 to about 4:10am. The exposures range from 1/8000 sec for the full moon to 3.2 sec for the Total Eclipsed moon at 3:10 am. Now we have to wait until April 14-15, 2014 for the next one visible here in North America. / Bob Veilleux Planetarium Educator
