  • Rossopomodoro, 800 Fifth Ave. S., opened in January 2010 in downtown Naples. It was the first U.S. location for the European chain, based in Naples, Italy.
  • Sweet Tomatoes opened in March 2010 in the former location of Romano's Macaroni Grill in the Granada Shoppes in North Naples.

  • Local veteran restaurateurs Fadi Rabil, right, and Chrissy Bianchi-Rabil opened Freddie Rebel’s Neighborhood Sports Bar & Grill in September 2010 in the former Stevie Tomato’s space on Shirley Street.
  • Chrissy’s at Bayfront re-opened in November 2010 at 469 Bayfront Place, Naples.
  • Europia Bistro opened in early 2010, featuring German, Czech, Slovakian and Hungarian cuisine, and even crepes and ice cream, in its North Naples location at 15215 Collier Blvd., the former Pebblebrooke Center location of an ice cream parlor.
  • A Passage to India relocated from Bonita Springs to North Naples in July 2010, moving into the former location for Two Brothers Baci, 975 Imperial Golf Course Blvd. Pictured is Grouper Tikka Masala, a dish cooked in Passage to India's rich tandoori sauce.
  • Cafe Italia Ristorante relocated to Naples Walk shopping center in North Naples in January 2010. A second Cafe Italia location opened in Miromar Outlets in May.

  • Sophia’s Ristorante Italiano opened in February 2010 at the former location of Roman Oven, 3545 Pine Ridge Road, in North Naples.
  • Sushi One opened in February at the former location of New Orleans Coffee Co., 1410 Pine Ridge Road. Pictured is a Sushi One special, a tempura roll with shrimp.
  • Wynn’s Food Pavilion at Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens opened in February 2010 to replace the former Subway at the main entrance, as well as two other food concessions at the local zoo.
  • Table 82's owner, Michael Ricci, relocated his restaurant in early 2010 from inside Village Walk of Bonita Springs to the former location of Gabriella’s New York in North Naples.
  • The Keys Bar & Grille opened in March 2010 in The Pavilion shopping center in North Naples.
  • Mr. Tequila Mexican Restaurant opened in 2010 in the former Meson Ole site on Ninth Street North in Naples.
  • O’mei Chinese Cuisine opened in April 2010 in Tamiami Square, 14700 U.S. 41 N., in the former North Naples location of the Harvest Moon Chinese Restaurant.
  • Naples Flatbread & Wine Bar opened a second location in Miromar Outlets in April 2010.
  • Pure Urban Oasis opened in April 2010 in Mercato in North Naples.
  • Loving Hut, a vegan Asian restaurant, opened in May 2010 on Pine Ridge Road near U.S. 41.
  • Yogurbella opened in May 2010 in Mercato, 8165 Strada Drive, North Naples.
  • Sweet Mama’s Island Cuisine reopened in June 2010 in the former location of Mr. Mom’s Diner in East Naples.
  • O’Donoghue’s Bar & Grill opened in June 2010 at 969 N. Collier Blvd. on Marco Island.
  • Trattoria Per Tutti, an 'autentica cucina Italiana,' opened in July 2010 in Pebblebrooke Center, near the corner of Immokalee Road and Collier Boulevard. That North Naples address, 15215 Collier Blvd #324, was previously home to Nonna Regina. Both owners of Trattoria Per Tutti were born in Italy and raised in Chicago.
  • Pinchers Crab Shack opened its eighth area location in August 2010 in the former home of R.J. Gator's in Gulf Coast Town Center in San Carlos Park. The regional chain is based in Bonita Springs.
  • Bill Bellucci opened Brooklyn Oven Pizza Pasta & More in the summer of 2010 at 26251 U.S. 41 S. in the Bay Crossings Plaza in Bonita Springs.
  • Burger King opened in June 2010 in Tarpon Springs 'SuperTarget' Plaza, off Immokalee Road in North Naples.The company-owned location showcases BK's new eco-friendly, energy-efficient, totally “green” design and operation.
  • Dunkin’ Donuts reopened its Naples Park location in August 2010. Another location near the new Lowe's in East Naples is expected to open in December 2010.
  • Patric’s in the Evening opened in October 2010 in the former Mission Square West location of Cafe Alessio next door to Patric's daytime cafe off Pine Ridge Road in North Naples.
  • In fall 2010, Bob Brotzman opened Cheers, a sports bar and family restaurant at 1817 San Marco Road in Shops of Marco on Marco Island.
  • Citrus opened in November 2010 on Fifth Avenue South in downtown Naples.
  • Moravela's Pizza opened a second area location in November 2010 in Marquesa Plaza, 13040 Livingston Road at Pine Ridge Road.
  • Blue Agave Tequila Bar & Grill opened in December 2010 on U.S. 41 East in Naples Towne Centre.
  • Taste of Chicago sandwich shop opened in December 2010 in Green Tree Center, 2366 Immokalee Road, North Naples.

  • Texas Tony's BBQ Shack opened in December 2010 on the East Trail in East Naples in the former locations of Fitzgerald's and Shoney's.
