  • China Pavilion in The Pavilion shopping center closed around Sept. 1, 2010, after serving the local community for more than 25 years.
  • Giuseppe’s Italian Restaurant, 11250 U.S. 41 E., closed in June 2010 after a 30-year run in East Naples.
  • Frascati's Italian Restaurant, 1258 Airport-Pulling Road N., permanently closed in July 2010. The popular East Naples restaurant anchored the River Reach plaza for about 18 years.
  • Cheeburger Cheeburger closed its last Collier County location this summer. The throwback restaurant on Fifth Avenue South had been serving Pounders for 15 years.
  • Ted’s Montana Grill at the Coastland Center mall in Naples closed in January 2010.
  • Uno Chicago Grill, near the intersection of Airport-Pulling and Vanderbilt Beach roads in North Naples, closed in June 2010. Other regional locations also closed in Fort Myers and Cape Coral.
  • The Melting Pot fondue restaurant, 2950 U.S. 41 N., Naples, closed in July 2010.
  • The Keg Steakhouse & Bar, 8990 Fontana Del Sol Way, North Naples, closed in April 2010.
  • Olio on the Bay restaurant closed in November 2010 in the Naples Bay Resort.
  • Mr. Mom's Diner, 3560 U.S. 41 E., closed in April 2010 after operating for many years. Sweet Mama's Island Cuisine opened in June at that East Naples location.
  • Salad Creations, open in Collection at Vanderbilt for about three years, closed in November 2010 at 2355 Vanderbilt Beach Road in North Naples.
  • Joey's Pizza & Pasta House closed its Naples location in Pine Ridge Crossing in May 2010.
  • Cafe Alessio, on Pine Ridge Road in Mission Square West in North Naples, closed in May 2010.
  • Dixie Moon Diner, 26940 Old 41 Road, opened in early 2010 in Bonita Springs and closed around Memorial Day.

  • The Rodeo BBQ Place, 8885 Davis Blvd., closed around Labor Day after opening in January 2010.
  • Gemi's Cafe closed in October 2010 in Davis Village, 2800 Davis Blvd., East Naples.
