Alligator attack doesn't deter locals from the Crystal

Tim Delano, 18, was attacked by a 10-foot alligator while swimming in a popular canal, known as the Crystal, on Sunday evening. Delano was able to escape and survive the attack, but the alligator severed the teen's left hand. Blood remains on the gravel where Delano made it to shore.

The couple, who have been visiting the canal in Golden Gate for about 20 years, are worried it might be shut down after Tim Delano, 18, had his hand severed in an alligator attack on Sunday night. 'I wouldn't bring my nieces and nephews here if it was a danger,' Cusick said.
