Neapolitans sweet on cupcake craze

Sassy Cakes opened in July 2009 and just recently moved to its new location at 837 Fourth Ave. S. in Naples. They decided on this new business venture because Harrison always had a knack for baking, selling her cupcakes at farmers markets, events and giving them away as gifts. Harrison baked cupcakes in a church kitchen before opening her own store front.

Naples has gotten into the cupcake game with Gracie’s, Sassy Cakes and Simply Cupcakes. The three local bakeries have their own special flavors, fillings, decorations and twists.
