Nina and Pinta dock in Naples

The Nina and the Pinta, replicas of Christopher Columbus' famed ships, made their way to Naples on Wednesday. The Columbus Foundation, based in the British Virgin Islands, created the two vessels to tour together as a 'sailing museum.' The Nina was created entirely by hand without the use of power tools and is an exact replica of the original. The Pinta was later created in Brazil at double the original size.

They are docked at Tin City in Naples until Tuesday, April 6th when they will depart for Fort Myers. The public is invited to walk aboard for self-guided tours between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. beginning Thursday. Cost of admission is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors and $5 for children. Children 4 and under are admitted free.
