A total of 9,200 pounds of laundry from the Ritz Carlton in Naples had to be done at the Marco Island Marriot Beach Resort on Friday. Services, including laundry, were disrupted at the Ritz by a gas line explosion in Lee County on Thursday night. Laundry was separated then placed in blue laundry bags that traveled to an area where it was dropped onto a conveyor belt to go into the huge washing machines. The entire laundry was to be done in just over six hours.
The Ritz Carlton in Naples was forced to send its laundry, 9,200 pounds each day of the weekend, to its sister hotel, the Marco Island Marriott Hotel Beach Resort because of a gas line explosion that occurred on Thursday night in Lee County.
