Charter girls race to second in county championships

Well, not at this moment, as Jen Carter, left and Rosie Poling make loosening up for the 3200 meter run a bit light hearted. They were all business in the race, with Poling winning and Carter third against a very strong field. Although outnumbered, the Charter School team still raced to a second place finish overall.

That is the best way to describe the effort of Marco Island Charter Middle School’s eight girls who did battle on Saturday in the Collier County Athletic Conference Middle School Championships.
