According to Florida Fish and Wildlife officers, Dwain Daniels, a passer-by, stopped when he saw the woman holding onto a tree branch as the alligator was dragging her into the water. Margaret Webb was in her front yard near a canal when an alligator reported to be about eight feet long came up and bit her leg, FWCC Capt. Jayson Horadam said. She was pulled to safety by 30-year-old Dwain Daniels, who was driving by Webb's 25750 State Road 29 ranch house and saw Webb in the water.
