A student in the Metal Welding and Sculpture class at the Center for the Arts of Bonita Springs uses a sanding machine made especially for sanding down welds. The Center for the Arts of Bonita Springs offers a Metal Welding and Sculpture class that meets once a week for three hours. The class is designed by first introducing level one students tools, the basics of welding properly, a hands on demo from this the students can generate an idea of what they'd like to create. The Introduction to Metal class is an addition to the adult educational offerings. Teaching people to weld is unusual for a local art center, where classes such as watercolor painting or photography are more the norm.
