At first glance the beach along South Marco Island appeared in perfect condition. Yet it took less than 30 minutes for four people collecting trash on Sunday to fill each of their bags halfway. Students of the Environmental Studies Department of Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) volunteered to take part in the monthly cleanup on Marco Beach.
