  • Angler Ken Fiedler with a 16-inch hogfish, caught on shrimp in 35 feet, west of New Pass, Saturday, Oct. 15, on an offshore charter with Captain Dave Hanson. Hogfish are amog the most coveted food-fish.
  • Angler Herb Lethert with a keeper redfish, one of five keeper reds caught on shrimp in Estero Bay, on a recent inshore charter with Captain Dave Hanson, of Fishbuster Charters.
  • While fishing the first annual Southwest Florida Christian Academy Fall Slam fishing tournament, Wes Bell and Justin Schaffer landed a nice 26-inch, 5-pound, 14-oz. redfish near the mouth of the Caloosahatchee River using live pilchards.
  • Joe Shannon shows off his 24-inch snook caught while fishing with wife, Erica, in Estero Bay.
  • Marine Corps veteran Jemel Maloney of Newport RI, caught and released this 32-inch redfish, fishing at Lovers Key State Park, using a jig tipped with shrimp that he bought from Mater Bait and Tackle of Bonita Springs. Maloney moved to Naples after returning from his deployment in Iraq and Afghanistan.
  • Laura lleejizki caught this nice red grouper while fishing with Captain Scott Ray aboard the Carole Ann II out of Marco Island.
  • Erica Shannon caught this 21-inch redfish while fishing in Estero Bay. Erica and husband, Joe, called it 'one of our best fishing days ever.'
  • Zack Tucker of Kentucky holds a Black tip Shark he caught in 30 ft of water off Marco Island, while fishing aboard the charter boat Carole Ann II.
  • This five-pound lady fish was caught with a casting net at Clam Pass in Naples by Lee Kamp with encouragement from brother Gale Kamp, both of North Band, Wash.
  • Brady Meer, 8, with father Derrick of Orlando, caught this snook behind grandparent's Paul and Janie Brown Casassa's house in Windstar. The snook was quickly released. The exact size is not known for sure but is estimated as long as Brady is tall.
