A journey of a thousand miles begins, it is said, with a single step. In this case, the step is a carwash. Saturday morning, dozens of the teenagers in the Travel Club at Marco Island Charter Middle School showed up at Kretch’s parking lot on Bald Eagle Drive to raise funds for their upcoming trip to our nation’s capital. People pulling into the lot to have their vehicles washed were set upon by a small of army of enthusiastic middle school students.
