From horn to piano; from flute to flute like voice, artists from barely 2 digits old to adult competed for the Jillian Prescott Music Awards and the Joseph and Marilyn Van Sickle Vocal Competition Reach For The Stars Awards, with prizes of up to $1000. at stake. Playing for the judges and a small but rapt audience of mostly parents, some 25 musicians tootled, trilled, and sawed through a repertoire of classical music.
