Referee Russ Simmons explains what Charter School goalie Jay Vanderjagt is allowed to do on a penallty kick for Southwest Florida Christian Academy. The penalty kick is basically a point-blank shot, with the goalie only able to move to his left or right, not come out of the goal to cut down the angle on the shooter. The sot was missed as the Eagles won 7-1 to win the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference championship.
The Marco Island Charter Middle School boys soccer team showed its dominance in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference on Tuesday by downing Southwest Florida Christian Academy, 7-1, for the league title.
