Catch of the Day: March 15, 2012

Derick Swank of Naples caught this 15 pound permit fish using shrimp as bait, out about 10 miles in the Gulf. While reeling it in, a 10 foot bullhead shark bit the tail off of the fish. He was fishing with Capt. Jimbo Hail in the Gulf.

  • Nick Chickering, of Team Smile Maker, landed this 33 pound kingfish while fishing 25 miles off the coast of Naples. It ate a live bluerunner, slow trolled off the downrigger.
