Everybody and his mother was out patronizing local eateries on Sunday. This, of course, was entirely appropriate, as Sunday was Mother’s Day, the one day of the year when we officially thank mom for all her labors and love the other 364 days of the year. Along with surf and turf, and even dinner cruises, brunch was a big draw. With seating both inside and by the marina, Mango’s Dockside Bistro served over 350 for brunch, “and they’re still coming,” said co-owner Annie Feinman. Children’s eyes got big when they saw the chocolate fountain, and they couldn’t wait to put a strawberry under the flow to get it – and perhaps themselves – coated and gooey.
