Roger LaLonde Staff Hector Picard, a double amputee, competed in the Marco Island Triathlon on Sunday. Picard, 46, from Fort Lauderdale, competes in various race events to inspire others with handicaps. He finished 18th in his 45 to 49 age category and 153rd overall of 440 competitors. He lost his limbs in an electrical work accident.
