Philip B.J. Reid stands for a photograph in Lockerbie, Scotland. The photograph was made during his time as one of the key Federal Bureau of Investigation agents assigned to look into the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland, in which 270 people were murdered. After piecing together leads found in the wreckage in Lockerbie, FBI and Scottish authorities were able to accuse two Libyan suspects. Following the trial in the Netherlands, one of the two suspects was convicted. Reid has since retired and lives in Naples. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the bombing.
