  • The Wine Loft wine bar is now open beneath the Silverspot Cinema in Mercato in North Naples.
  • Erin’s Isle Irish Pub reopened Jan. 7 in the former Bogey's Bar & Grill at Hibiscus Golf Club, a public golf course located off Rattlesnake Hammock Road in East Naples. The original Erin’s Isle, above, closed last summer on Collier Boulevard after operating nearly 30 years.
  • An expansion project on 10 acres next to The Bay House on the Cocohatchee River may bring more than another restaurant to North Naples. Bay House Village is planned to include an Italian bistro, a boutique hotel, and a small brewery and bakery, as well as an outdoor performance area.
  • The for­mer Ristorante d’Angeli on Fifth Avenue South is being transformed into Osteria Tulia, a new Italian restaurant opening this month in downtown Naples.
  • The Local, a new local bistro focusing on locally grown and farm-raised products, is planning to open this month in the Bed Bath & Beyond Plaza space vacated last year by La Bamba when it moved across the street in North Naples.
  • Culver’s, a Wisconsin-based chain known for its frozen custard and ButterBurgers, is debuting in Florida this year with four locations planned — one each in Naples, Fort Myers, Port Charlotte and Sarasota.
  • Martin Fierro Steakhouse is planning to reopen in a new location at the end of February in Marquesa Plaza on the southeast corner of Livingston and Pine Ridge roads. The Argentinian restaurant will be located between Moravela’s Pizza and the Comcast office.
  • Chuck E. Cheese’s plans to open its kids-based pizza and entertainment venue this year in the former location of Linen 'n Things in the Granada Shoppes, on the southeast corner of U.S. 41 North and Immokalee Road, in North Naples.
  • Caffe Portofino artisan Italian bakery, which opened June 6 in the Neapolitan Way shopping center off U.S. 41 in Naples, will nearly triple its size in 2013 by expanding into the adjoining space, left.
  • Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar will open its first Collier County location in this former Blockbuster store in Courthouse Shadows shopping center in East Naples.
  • An offshoot of Bistro Soleil will open this year at the Olde Marco Inn on Marco Island. Petit Soleil will be a new breakfast and lunch nook in The Shops of Olde Marco on Palm Street.
  • Skillets plans to open its fourth area location Jan. 10 in the former North Naples location of Bha! Bha! Persian Bistro in The Pavilion shopping center, located on the northwest corner of Vanderbilt Beach Road and U.S. 41 North.
  • Taps Bar & Lounge will open in this building on Mercato’s Piazza off Strada Place in North Naples.
  • Second Cup coffee shop is targeted to open in February or March in this freestanding building on the northwest corner of Mercato’s piazza near The Counter Custom Built Burgers in North Naples.
  • Le Macaron French Pastries plans to open in March next door to Grace & Shelly's Cupcakes in Mercato in North Naples. A fast-growing chain, Le Macaron’s first area location opened Nov. 16 in Miromar Outlets in Estero.
  • After an extended delay in opening its new location in Bonita Springs, expect Gatsby’s Pizza to finally open this month, if all goes well. Gatsby’s is located in the elbow of the L-shaped shopping center fronted by C Level Wine Bar on Bonita Beach Road.
  • Doc's Pizza House was initially expected to open last fall in a former real estate office at 4575 Bonita Beach Road, but now is not expected to open until this November.
  • The former D's Sports Bar on Bonita Beach Road is being readied for a local pizza restaurant, although details are not available yet.
  • Marco's Pizza is set to open this year in unit 5 of Collier Plaza, 11985 Collier Blvd., in Golden Gate.
  • In mid-February, local Little Caesars franchisee Luis Velez will relocate the pizzeria he has operated for nearly five years in the Kmart plaza in Golden Gate a block away to a building with a drive-through, above, now under construction on the other side of the parkway. This will be the Naples area’s first Little Caesars with a pick-up window.
  • Little Caesars Pizza hopes to reopen its North Naples location in 2013 that closed in September 2011 after operating for 24 years in Bed Bath & Beyond Plaza, 5337 Airport-Pulling Road N.
  • Betty Lou's Restaurant is targeted to open during the beginning of February in the former location of The Kountry Spot bar and grille in Wilson Plaza, the center on the southeast corner of Wilson and Golden Gate boulevards, in Golden Gate Estates.
  • A typical interior for Saladworks, which plans to open its first area location in the former Blockbuster store, 11180 U.S. 41 N., in Riverchase Plaza in North Naples.
  • Orange Leaf, which opened this self-serve frozen yogurt shop in 2012, will open at least two more area locations this year. Orange Leaf is targeted to open locations March 4 in former video stores in Riverchase Plaza in North Naples and in Marco Town Center on Marco Island.
  • This Dunkin' Donuts in North Naples’ Uptown Center, 2650 Immokalee Road, will close this year and reopen about a mile east in the outparcel space of the former Albertsons supermarket at Livingston and Immokalee roads.
  • A future site of Dunkin' Donuts, the yellow box in the lower right of this aerial map, will be next to Burger King and Office Max in Courthouse Shadows shopping center in East Naples.
  • The Home of the Whopper is coming this month to Coastland Center in Naples. Burger King is planning to open Jan. 10 in the former longtime location of McDonald’s in the mall's food court.
