Funeral for U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Marc A. Scialdo

The casket containing the late U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Marc A. Scialdo, 31, is transferred from the funeral service at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church to the hearse for burial on Friday, Mar. 22, 2013 in Naples, Fla. Sgt. Scialdo graduated from St. John Neumann High School in 1999 and Edison Community College in 2002, then he enlisted in the Army. He was assigned to the 603rd Aviation Support Battalion, 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, Hunter Army Airfield, GA and a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter Crew Chief; he was on 2nd deployment when he and his crew were killed during a night time training mission near Kandahar City, Afghanistan. The cause of crash is under investigation. Marc is survived by his wife, Kara Lee Scialdo.
